Figure 1.Cracks on the surface of the friction ring. Workshop findings:
The new generation of ceramic brake discs (CCB+) show more significant cracks on the surface of the friction ring. These cracks are formed during production when the material cools. The friction ring surface contracts more than the base material and these cracks are the result.
No measures required. The functionality of the brake system is not affected by this. There is no reason to replace parts. This TSB is informational only and not applicable to any Audi Warranty.
