This technical bulletin applies specifically to model code E81* ID.4 assembled in Chattanooga.

 

During vehicle inspection, maintenance, or repair, one or more of the following diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) are found to be stored in the High Voltage Battery Charger Control Module-AX4-(diagnostic address 00C6):

 

B1802F1: NV-Energy management Alarm triggered

Symptom: 401437

B193D21: Intermediate circuit voltage, voltage sensor lower limit not reached

Symptom: 397343

B1D7B21: Intermediate circuit voltage, voltage sensor 2 lower limit not reached

Symptom: 397351

P1D6D00: Battery charger, charging module 3 Malfunction

Symptom: 397341

P1D6E00: Battery charger, charging module 1 Malfunction

Symptom: 397331

P1D6F00: Battery charger, charging module 2 Malfunction

Symptom: 397336

U044700: Invalid Data Received From Serial Data Gateway Module "A"

U114800: High-voltage battery charging management no communication

This is not a complete list of irrelevant fault codes that may be stored in the various control units of the vehicle – for a list of irrelevant fault codes for other vehicle control units, refer to TSB 2073355.

 

Technical Background

This combination of DTCs and symptom codes are irrelevant. They have no effect on any functions or electrical systems of the vehicle. They do not cause any customer concerns.

Production Solution

Not applicable.

Service

In the diagnosis of a customer complaint, these DTCs and symptom codes are to be ignored. Any GFF test plan results in relation to these DTCs and symptom codes are also to be ignored. These DTCs can be erased but may be logged again later.

 

These DTCs and symptom codes are not related to customer complaints. Unnecessary replacements of the High Voltage Battery Charger Control Module-AX4-made under warranty will be debited!
