Customer statement: Vehicle cannot be charged at specific charging stations. In the past, it was possible to charge at these charging stations.
Workshop findings No relevant event memory entries indicating an issue with the charging unit for high-voltage battery are logged in diagnostic address 00C6 - charging unit for high-voltage battery. The part number of the charging unit for high-voltage battery is either5QE.915.684.K or 5QE.915.684.J. The software version of the charging unit for high-voltage battery is either0023, 0031 or 0032. Software issue in charging unit for high-voltage battery. Charging cannot be started at specific charging stations provided by ABB and Kostad (depending on software version of charging station). MY 2021 Note: Try to reproduce the customer complaint (based on the description/cause of the issue), so that it can be clearly assigned to this TPI. The following repair must only be carried out if all the criteria (model/type, chassis number, engine/motor and gearbox code, PR number(s), part number, software version, code etc.) apply exactly. Otherwise, this solution will not eliminate the problem, and repeat repairs may be necessary. In such a case, we may reject the warranty claim and charge back the cost of the parts.
The repair must be postponed for the time being if the conditions specified above apply. The cause is a software issue in the high-voltage charging unit for which a solution is currently being developed. There is therefore no reason to replace parts as this could lead to repeat complaints.The implementation of a measure is currently being analysed. This analysis is expected to be completed at the end of April 2025; more precise information about when the measure will be available will then be provided. If DISS is used in your market. As part of the process, it is necessary that you activate the e-mail notification function in DISS for this TPI/this complaint. You will then automatically receive an e-mail from the DISS system as soon as new information for this complaint is available. Proceed as follows: Copy the TPI into the complaint in DISS. When you do so, you will see a message indicating that a measure is being developed for the selected TPI and that you can receive an e-mail notification when the solution is available. If you would like to receive a notification, please select “Yes” for the query regarding the e-mail notification. If no measure is available before the archive date in 12 months, please extend the archive date. To do this, open the complaint in the DISS Monitor (order list → ‘Open archive candidates’ tab) and change the archive date to the maximum period using the calendar icon. There is no reason to replace parts. Unjustified work/replacement parts will be charged back.
