Customer states: The customer complains about one or more of the following issues with the driver assist systems:
Complaint 1: While starting the vehicle, despite this function not being available in the vehicle, or despite the function having been activated prior to starting the vehicle, the following message regarding lane centering guidance appears briefly in the instrument cluster. Adaptive cruise assist:nolane guidance
Complaint 2: When setting the traffic sign-based warning threshold for the traffic sign-based speed limit warning, the initial value is immediately reset when adjusting the settings. The setting can be adjusted after multiple attempts.
Workshop findings: The complaint can be reproduced. Software issue in the front camera control module, R242 (diagnostic address 00A5). New software in the front camera control module, R242 (diagnostic address 00A5) - SW1602. Follow all instructions in TSB 2011732:00 Software Version Management (SVM) operating instructions.
Update the front camera control module, R242 (diagnostic address 00A5) via SVM. To enter the SVM code, use “Flash” mode on the ODIS tester. Perform the following steps: Step 1: update (bootloader and software) for front camera for driver assist systems -R242-.
Step 2: parameter setting and coding for front camera for driver assist systems -R242-.
Step 3: restore functions.
